Applying for the 2012 BMB

Admission to the BMB is competitive and is limited by our inventory of uniforms and equipment. The BMB does not assign alternates, therefore every person accepted will have a spot in the show.

A critical component of BMB membership is your ability to commit to the entire performance schedule.

Absense from a performance is not allowed except under extreme circumstances and by advance consent of the director.

Please take a look at the 2012 Performance Calendar and be sure that you can commit to all performances before applying.

Returning members: If you plan to return to the same section you do not need to fill out an application form. Just let your section leader or someone on the BMB planning committee know that you intend to keep your spot.

Applications are processed weekly. Some sections fill very quickly. Early application is recommended. If you do not receive an answer within 2 weeks of submitting your application please check your junk mail folder or send an inquiry to BMB@uwec.edu

Colorguard and Percussionists are applying for provisional acceptance. You will need to audition for a spot on the line. Auditions will be held during a mini-camp on Saturday May 12, 2012.

Incoming Music Education students: Marching band is a required course in your degree program. If you have already been accepted as a music education major you are guaranteed acceptance into the BMB. You must, however, complete this application to claim your spot.
