Depart Minneapolis- St. Paul International Airport for Milan, Italy.  Our flights are scheduled on Delta/Northwest Airlines and American Airlines, departing between 7:30am and 5:10pm.  Please check flight list for your departure time.   Delta and American passengers will connect in New York for the international leg of the trip which is an overnight flight.  Northwest passengers have a direct flight to Amsterdam.  Dinner will be served on the plane.

Breakfast is at the hotel.  Today is our day trip to London.  From Paris Gare Nord station we will board the Eurostar train at 8:07 and arrive in London via the Channel Tunnel (Chunnel) at 9:36  On arrival in London you will have the opportunity to visit Buckingham Palace, Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, Downing Street, Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, the Tower of London, the Tower Bridge, and many other world famous attractions.  Dinner will be on your own before we head back to Paris.  Our train leaves St Pancras station in London at 8:04 and arrives in Paris at 11:26  (Breakfast)

Breakfast is in the hotel.  Morning departure to Paris Charles DeGaulle International Airport for our return flight to Minneapolis.  Flights depart early afternoon with arrival back in Minneapolis in the evening. (Breakfast)


Breakfast will be served on the plane.  This morning we arrive in Milan, Italy.  At the airport we will meet our English speaking tour guides, load our busses, and transfer to the Milan city centre.  Milan is renowned as one of the world capitals of fashion and design.  You'll have time to do some shopping and sightseeing as well as purchase lunch on your own.  At 2:00pm local time we will depart via bus for the Venice area, a trip of approximately 3 1/2 hours.  Our hotel will be on the Italian mainland (city of Mestre) directly across the lagoon from Venice.  Upon arrival we will check into our Mestre hotel and enjoy a welcome to Italy dinner.  After dinner you may choose to take public transporation from Mestre into Venice.  Our Hotel is directly across the street from the train terminal with quick and easy access to Venice. Breakfast this morning is at the hotel.  Following breakfast we will transfer to the Tronchetto of Venice.  The Tronchetto is the only location on the Venetian islands where motor vehicles are allowed and it is where our busses will be parked for the day.  From Tronchetto our tour guides will take us to St, Mark's Square.  We will start our visit with a tour of the Basilica di San Marco, the 15th century Clock Tower, and the Bridge of Sighs.  You many enjoy the remainder of the day exploring the city on your own.  You may want to consider a gondola ride or just wander the alleys of this fascinating city.  Dinner tonight is on your own in one of the many wonderful restaurants in Venice before we board our water taxi for our return to the hotel.  (Breakfast)

Breakfast is provided at our hotel.  This morning we will return to St. Mark's Square where today the BMB will be featured in a special performance.  After the performance you will have time to continue your exploration of Venice on your own.  Lunch is on your own.  Dinner will be provided this evening before we return to our hotel.  (Breakfast, Dinner)

An early breakfast at the hotel is followed by check-out and transfer to the train station.  Our train departs at 7:10 am and arrives in Paris at 9:43 pm with transfers in Milan and Zurich,  Switzerland.  Along the way we will enjoy the beautiful sights of the Swiss Alps as well as the Burgundy and Chablis wine regions of France.  Upon arrival in Paris we will transfer to the Hotel and check in.  You will have the evening free but it will be late.  (Breakfast)

Breakfast is at the hotel.  This morning we will have a short panormaic sightseeing tour which passes the Champs Elysees, the Louvre, Arc de Triomphe, and the banks of the River Seine.  This afternoon we visit Notre Dame Cathedral.  Notre Dame has a history that spans 800 years and is a masterpiece of medieval architecture.  From Notre Dame we continue to the Eiffel Tower.  Here the Blugold Marching Band will present a performance at Champs des Mars, located close to the Eiffel Tower.  After the performance we ascend to the 2nd level of the Eiffel Tower to enjoy stunning panoramic views over Paris.  Dinner will be provided at the hotel. Today is Easter Sunday and you are completely free to enjoy Paris as you wish.  You may want to make another visit to Notre Dame Cathedral, which is only 10 minutes from our hotel.  You may also want to visit the Louvre which is Paris' single largest building, the largest museum in the Western Hemisphere and probably the most recognized symbol of art and culture in all history.  There is so much to see at the Louvre (some 400,000 works) your time will need to be planned.  Highlights include early renaissance masterpieces like Mantegna's Crucifixion, da Vinci's atmosphereic Virgin of the Rocks, and of course the star of the museum is La Joconde (the Mona Lisa).  (Breakfast, Dinner)

Breakfast is at the hotel.  This morning we will visit the Palace of Versailles, residence of hte Sun King Louis XIV.  Here you will discover the famous "A La Francaise" gardens, the grand and petit Trianon, the hall of Mirrors, the great apartments and the Queen's apartments.  We return to Park later where we head for the Village of Montmartre for a walking tour.  Our guides will introduce the group to the Sacre Coeur, the Place du Tertre, the main square bustling with cafes and people, especially the artists with their easels doing lightning sketches.  The BMB is featured in a special public performance at Square  Saint Jean XXIII (Notre Dame) this afternoon.  Dinner is on your own this evening.  (Breakfast)
