On January 2 the BMB traveled to Florence, Italy where they performed again in front of a large, enthusiastic audience.

Following the tour of Italy the BMB flew to Athens Greece where they spent 3 days seeing such sites as the Parthenon, the Plaka, and the Ancient Agora.  Following a stage show in Syntagma (Constitution) Square the band took a day cruise to three Greek Islands.

The first major component of the trip was a tour of Italy.  We began in  Rome were we explored the Spanish Stephs, Colosseum, Pantheon, Roman Forum and St. Peter's Basilica.  The highlight of the Italian tour was a performance in St. Peter's Square, Vatican City on the morning of New Year's Day 2008.  At that time approximately 100,000 people were in St. Peter's Square awaiting the noon New Year's Papal Blessing.  From Rome we took a day trip to the city of Florence.

The second major component of the trip was a tour of Greece.  In Athens we spent time visiting the Acropolic, Parthenon, and Greek Museums.  The final day included a day-cruise in the Mediteranean Sea where we visited the Greek islands of Aegina, Poros, and Hydra.
