Band Camp Information

PREPARING FOR CAMP

Items in Bold are required. Drill charts may be accessed by tablet or paper, but reading from a phone is not recommended. DO NOT DEPEND ON YOUR PHONE FOR MUSIC! Have printed copies.

Bugs are in excess during band camp. Carson Park is surrounded by water and Haas Field is by the Chippewa River.

Plan ahead with the provided information.

Items to Bring:

  • Printed Copies of Music (Binder recommended)

  • Pencil & Highlighter

  • Drill Charts (Stapled together recommended) or access by tablet

  • Tennis Shoes (No Sandals, Flip Flops, Chacos, etc.)

  • Backpack

  • Light/Breathable/Athletic Clothes

  • Sunscreen/Bug Spray

  • Hat

  • Water Jug/Bottle

  • Snacks

  • Money for Lunch

  • SPF Chapstick

  • Sunglasses

  • Tylenol/Ibuprofen

  • Raincoat/ Windbreaker

  • Deodorant

  • Extra Reeds (Clar. and Sax.)


Registration


At BMB registration you'll pick up your equipment, uniform, and supplies. You'll pay your fees here as well.

Incoming/New members will need to purchase a BMB Tee, marching shoes, gloves, etc. at a total cost of $70-80 (depending on what you need).

Returning members may use their equipment from prior years or may purchase replacements.

The only other cost is a BMB fee that all members (returning and incoming) pay $100 (fee for 2025).

BMB Merchandise will also be on sale and sold via the eMarket.

Please bring a checkbook or cash for your band fee, as that is not paid via eMarket.

Please report to Haas Fine Arts (121 Water Street) at your assigned time for BMB registration.

Those who are living on-campus need to check in to the dorms at your assigned time noted in the email received from University Housing, on Saturday, August 23. Please report to your dorm building for your key.
